Generac Power Washer Accessory Packaging & POP Redesign

One of my significant undertakings upon joining Generac was the revitalization and redesign of the Power Washer Accessory Aisle. Upon close examination, it became apparent that the existing packaging design posed challenges for customers, rendering product selection difficult and contributing to its obscurity amidst the array of offerings.

In response, I embarked on a comprehensive approach to address this issue, starting with in-store assessments and buyer research. These efforts were instrumental in charting a strategic course for the redesign. The key insight that emerged was the paramount importance of enhancing and clarifying the shopping experience for buyers.

To achieve this goal, I proposed a multifaceted solution. Firstly, I introduced a coherent color-coding system, which enabled buyers to quickly and intuitively identify product categories. Additionally, I incorporated visual icons to further aid customers in their decision-making process. To augment the shopping experience, I introduced a clear and easy-to-read code mapping system, which could also be prominently displayed on end caps. This comprehensive approach not only facilitated product selection but also enhanced the overall point-of-purchase (POP) shopping experience, resulting in a more intuitive and efficient shopping journey for customers.
